Film Tampa Bay recognized for its contribution to Hillsborough County

 

Tampa, FL (October 2, 2024) – Film Tampa Bay was presented with a commendation this morning by Commissioner Ken Hagan on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners. The commendation celebrates the significant contributions of Film Tampa Bay to the people of Hillsborough County over the last 10 years.

 

“I’m pleased to recognize this amazing organization who, for the last decade, has done so much for the Hillsborough County film industry,” said Commissioner Ken Hagan. “Film Commissioner Tyler Martinolich and his dedicated staff have made significant accomplishments in solidifying our county’s reputation as one of the top film centers in the nation.”

 

The commendation recognizes Film Tampa Bay’s crucial role in enhancing the region’s marketing and economic development. Film Tampa Bay has generated over $100 million in direct economic impact for Hillsborough County through the thousands of screen productions hosted in the last 10 years.

 

“It has been a privilege to serve Hillsborough County over the last 10 years, helping to grow our talented crew and establishing our region as a premier filming destination able to meet the needs and challenges of productions both large and small,”  said Film Commissioner Tyler Martinolich.
