…is crucial for fostering a vibrant and diverse film industry here in Tampa. By investing in their work, we contribute to a richer cinematic landscape that goes beyond mainstream narratives. This support not only helps nurture emerging talent but also encourages innovation and creativity in storytelling. Local films often address issues and experiences that resonate deeply with their communities, creating a sense of shared identity and pride.

Previous scholarship funding has gone to support the Gasparilla Film Festival High School Film Scholarship, which provides scholarships to participating student winners and gear for their associated high schools, and the Film Florida Emerging Filmmaker Fund, which provides cash grants in the amount of $1-$2k per project, as well as cash grants and awards to filmmakers participating in a variety of local film festivals.
