HSN Leaves Tampa Bay

The Home Shopping Network is set to close its St. Petersburg, Florida campus after 47 years of operation. HSN’s parent company, Qurate Retail Group, says the move is part of a companywide reorganization to promote its “live social shopping” strategy.

“As we focus on our growth strategy to lean further into social and streaming, we are redefining who we are as a company and the role we play for our customers,” said David Rawlinson II, President and CEO, Qurate Retail, Inc.

According to Qurate Retail Group, HSN and QVC U.S. will consolidate their broadcast operations at the Studio Park campus in West Chester, PA. The company plans for the consolidation to take effect over the coming months, but a final date has yet to be announced.

“We have the deepest appreciation to the state of Florida and the St. Petersburg community for their support and dedication over HSN’s 47-year history.  We look forward to continuing to delight our customers as we make this transition to our new home,” said Stacy Bowe, President, HSN Brand & US Merchandising.
