The roar of cannon fire this last weekend signaled the start of Gasparilla season in Tampa Bay. In just a few short weeks, the Gasparilla International Film Festival will celebrate its 16th year. With almost ten thousand film festivals in the last 20 years, more than half never reached year two, and less than 5% dimmed their lights before year ten. GIFF has not only survived, but thrived in Tampa Bay.

GIFF is more than a collection of new movies, celebrities, and parties. It is the culmination of a years’ worth of hard work by its dedicated board, volunteers, and over 50 active screeners. Hundreds of hours of screened films, monthly and weekly board meetings, late-night creative calls and programming conversations are the DNA of what makes GIFF special.

Start picking out your red-carpet attire, catch up on all the latest movie gossip, and save room for popcorn, because GIFF is back! March 23rd - 26th. Passes are on sale now!
