FTB Presents 'Paper Line' Packs a Punch at the Tampa Theatre

On Juneteenth holiday weekend, we presented the first-look screening of 'Paper Line,' a locally-produced, live-action short film about a secret fraternity of black martial artists at a prestigious HBCU in Florida.

The new all-Black cast short film from writer-director Ryan Watson, features an inside look at the intense personal bonds and proud values of Black Greek culture through the lens of explosive martial-arts action.

With over one thousand guests in attendance at the event, this was our most successful FTB Presents thus far!

'The Beast Comes at Midnight' Screening at Tampa Theatre

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the special first-look screening of 'The Beast Comes At Midnight' at the Tampa Theatre. Writer/director Chris Jackson was joined by producers Ed McKeever and Todd Oifer in a special post-screening Q&A hosted by Film Tampa Bay’s Hilary Webber.

Audience members were given a special QR Code and encouraged to leave feedback about the film. Everyone in attendance received a keepsake prop from the set, the exclusive Osprey Observer edition created specifically for the film!

Bob Layton is known for reinventing the Iron Man comic in the late 70s, taking it from near-cancellation to one of Marvel’s all-time bestselling series. Tampa’s Daniel Roebuck brings Grandpa Munster to life in Rob Zombie Reboot

Rob Zombie is ready to bring the quirky and beloved family The Munsters back to life (and in color!). The studio just released a teaser trailer for the upcoming film reboot, and if Grandpa Munster looked familiar that’s because it’s none other than Daniel Roebuck. The prolific actor calls Tampa home with his wife and acclaimed director, Tammy Roebuck.
